Don't condone, never will BUT . . I understand (as Chris Rock said). I have been ready to slap a few parents who let their kids run wild in the South Stadium Club. I witnessed two boys (7-9 age range) knock over knock a plate of food out of two peoples hands and never slow down. Someone stopped the boys and their mother came running in her high heels defending the kids, never said sorry or did a damn thing. I might have killed my two if they ever did that!

I'm sure both parties are in the wrong here, but only on TD would everyone agree that it's far more acceptable to be belligerently drunk at 40 than raucous at 14.
This all comes down to what they did to provoke the guy. Was it harmless taunting/tigerbaiting that they probably took too far?

First - where does it say the kids where trash talking him?
Second - I assume your whole moronic opinion assumes the 14 year old isn’t a girl.
Third - What are you talking about? It absolutely is the adults job to de-escalate with other people’s kids. You really think we live in a world where you go around slapping other people’s kids in public because they got lippy? That’s assault, brother.

Not sure why 14 year olds would want to talk to a 40yo unless it was talking shite, and the parents should be telling the kids to knock it off, however that being said. Some drunk slaps my 14yo son we’ll be taking care of it either there or at Sonic later.

My kids aren’t quite 14. I hope though when they are in a social situation they can hold a conversation with people other than their peers and show interest in whoever is around them.
Again though everyone seems to be giving the drunk slob the benefit of the doubt and assuming the kids initiated this interaction. I assume this drunk slob, as drunk slobs are want to do, isolated himself from the other adults in the suite with his progressively deteriorating drunk slob non-sense and then turned to talking to these kids.
