Yes.

Do they not have the time to devote to surveilling the target house?

Costs a lot less than some commando raid against a position where they are at a disadvantage.

Do they want to arrest as many people as possible at the time?

How often are most of the people present at these no knock raids innocent family members. They aren’t usually raiding gang houses.

You break into my house in the middle of the night i’m Shooting first and asking questions later. If they want to take things down peacefully, surround the house and announce your presence. If the inhabitants respond violently THEN you can play army man.

But frickups happen with no knocks far too often and far too many innocent people are harmed or killed.

I can see we have at least 11 cops who believe that a badge is all they need. Not sure the margin of error but I would have figured more!

Also sorry about the disaster of a post I put together earlier. It’s cool, I was high, Drinking a beer, while running over mailboxes in my pick up Trying to text and drive! I was lucky to phone service cause I haven’t cashed a disability check in months from being in the Mediterranean on holiday resulting from the money I got from claiming other people’s kids on my taxes and selling out all my welfare perks for cash. Haven’t had time to take time to take time.

You can bet somebody was testing that shite at the scene. Especially after not finding a damn thing with cover your arse mode kicking in

Are you really this ignorant? Your hatred of police is comical. As said, the reason to test it on site is to confirm an arrest. If the suspects were dead, there is no hurry. Why risk running a test with known questionable results over waiting on a lab with proven results?

These guys had cocaine and immediate access to loaded guns, and used them against police. The chances of them being completely innocent here are pretty slim

Hey you fricking bootlicker. Kindly GFY.

This shite smelled to high heaven from the beginning. You can't see it because you're too busy sucking the cops off. Those people would still be alive if it wasn't for people like you that defend this bullshite. Makes me sick to my stomach. I bet decent cops hate the corrupt cops too.

Still... the two in the house shot at a bunch of cops. You can't do that. Even with no-knock, obviously once the cops are in the house, you know they are cops.

What would you do if people were breaking in your house, shooting your dog?

Some 90 something year old lady in Atlanta got lit up a few years ago in a no knock raid in the middle of the night. She was still in bed, but was holding a pistol. So they hosed her.

Shitty neighborhood, which is why she had a gun. Cops were at the wrong address and obviously weren't looking for a 94 year old grandmother. It was a pretty big deal, as it should have been.

No knock raids are unconstitutional and should not be an option in all but the most extreme circumstances IMO. There’s no reason for them other than giving power tripping Boys in Blue an excuse to use their tacticool military surplus toys.

If you got your guy then just wait outside for him to leave and get him then. But I guess that doesnt let you shoot a dog.

I think the courts have ruled that they are NOT unconstitutional, which is why we see them happening. Just like "Safety" (DUI) Checkpoints.

Sorry should have been more clear: I think they should be unconstitutional.

But yes you’re correct. They are constitutional according to courts and that’s BS.

A story relevant to the OP,

LINK

This man in Texas shot three cops during a no-knock raid on his house, he said he thought they were intruders, that he could not hear if they announced they were cops because his hearing was impaired from the "flash bang" grenade they tossed. He was fortunately found not guilty of all charges and all 3 cops survived. Also the suspect the cops were serving the warrant was no in the house.

Right? Seems like it would be so much easier to tail them and take them when they went out to eat, or at the store, or literally anywhere other than their home, where they have the defense and access to weapons.

You want the suspects, who would still be armed, to be out in public when they are confronted? And in a vehicle where a high speed pursuit puts even more innocent bystanders at risk? You may want to rethink your point here.

Not defending the raid here, BTW, if the lead investigator fabricated his search warrant affidavit. He should go to prison and the agency pay through the nose.

Update - Houston Chrom

You can back the blue all you want, but this cop is dirty. Couple bags of H found in the center console of his squad car. Lied on the warrant. Sketchy details on whether the guy in the house fired a shot. Cops can’t find his “informant” that supposedly bought H at the house.

This dude broke into a home, killed every living person and thing and got 4 of his fellow officers harmed on a complete lie.

The fact that this cop has so many compamints and was still on the street is amazing. There is a reason many here don’t trust 100% trust police and this is a prime example.

So we shouldn’t trust any profession that has bad apples? Do police have significantly more bad apples than other professions?

I mean there are bad doctors out there? Should I just never go to the doctor?

Doctors don't even make house calls anymore, much less bashing down the door and killing my dog. And my wife. And me.

Do other professions have a history of looking the other way, ignoring, and covering up the bad actions of their co-workers. Bad actions which involve depriving people of their liberty, shootings, and physical harm.
