Of course. I gave the best case scenario because it still sucks. The % of this bill going directly to Americans' is probably closer to 15%.

That excludes families that earn over $160,000/year.

And $160,000 ain't exactly rich these days.

A couple that earns $150,000 will get $2400. A couple that earns $160,000 gets $0.00.

This is out of a $1.9 trillion dollar bill. The overwhelming majority of it isn't going to the people. It's a fricking joke. Another sad joke on the American people.

Why do we let those assholes call this a stimulus bill? That's not at all what's happening here.

Nobody can explain how if you were already unemployment/welfare pre Covid...and you’re still on it...why exactly do you need a “stimulus” when nothing changed and actually earned more unemployment money as it is.

Our country is fricked

Exactly, if it has a maximum why doesn’t it have a minimum.... a person with no income shouldn’t qualify for stimulus when they are not stimulating anything.... not paying taxes, etc. I missed money from Covid because I’m a frontline worker, had hours reduced and got Covid/missed 2 weeks of work but I don’t get any money?

The part that gets many of us makes it worse.

A couple that has a $150k AGI and 3 kids will get $7,000. The same family with a $160k AGI still gets $0.

And unless your taxes are filed RIGHT NOW, it doesn't include 2020 income. So if you earned $160,000 in 2019 but your restaurant shut down in 2020.....you get NOTHING.

frick these free handouts man.what needs to happen is Everyone who has a job should not be taxed for the rest of the year

Now that friend would be a real economic stimulator....and it would help all workers...thus it will never happen.

This is a pretty dumb argument....you've had a month to file taxes. Considering everything we've known since early Feb, if you earned less in 2020 than you did in 2019 and you haven't filed your taxes yet then you are pretty dense.

I mean shite even if you owe you still don't have to pay until April.

Yeah, like taxes. If it gets here before I pay my taxes, I am just going to send it right back to them plus some.

If you are middle aged, married, both people have a good education and work full time, there is not much excuse why a couple wouldn’t earn under 160,000$

Which BLM focused transgendered biracial people of color organizations will you donate your stimulus to?

$160k combined income isn’t exactly baller status outside of Louisiana.

Fantastic.

Not that it matters (I won't get anything), but I haven't filed mine yet.

A family earning $160K isn't really rich in most major metro areas.
