I think he’s saying it would be hypocritical to shoot it down

What does this have to do with trump?

Did he not make sessions our top law man, guy who put out a memo saying more prosecutors should seek the death penalty in some of these cases? Then his next choice goes after petty offenses like the one I listed. Actions by trump mean a bit more than words here.

It's like say I'm pro 2a and banning bump stocks and backing red flag laws. Words mean little when contrasted with opposing actions. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways

that is unlikely to change with de-scheduling, and fighting hat is a dead-end.

Who hammered him? Federal agents or funding hungry local LEO’s

I wish Geotus would reschedule. He wouldn't need to wait for Congress.

Even better if an Obama judge blocks it. That would redpill all the weed smokers.

I ended it decades ago for myself. Never cared if it was legal or not.

Right? I don't want a tax to pay for my expungement, I want a g.d. pardon and an apology for waging a war against the will of our citizens... that wasted billions of our tax dollars.

Or Republicans could do the smart thing by claiming the win for Trump instead of letting it die in the Senate by their hands.
Oh I completely agree with this. Just think what they should do is different from what they are going to do.

this should pass thru the house. regardless of whether the senate even lets it out of committe (they likely won't), it's progress

It's doomed from the jump because of all the social program pork written into it. This is just a way for Dems to have a talking point/wedge issue in election season. I won't believe Congress is truly serious about this a clean bill goes through the process with ONLY the lifting of marijuana prohibition.

it is time for the full House to vote

This will never happen. They won't vote on USMCA even though Mexico has already approved it, Canada will approve it once it reaches our floor for a vote, and most people in the country want it and would pass easily.

Yes, I do. But that will likely not happen in an all encompassing bill on this issue. You need separate bills for decrim, expungement, etc.

They know the Senate will shut this down. It will be another "look what we tried to do, but the Republicans shut it down" type of thing.
as they should

Republicans should get with the times and let it happen

I agree. So in honour of this news..

I'm going to trim up part of an ounce I kept for myself, and reflect on why I hate Louisiana's laws, and how pleased I am to be in a place where plants i enjoy wont get your property taken.
