I remember seeing one 7 years ago or so and the couple (from the Midwest I believe) were very surprised that an air conditioning outdoor unit would need a locked cage over it. Couldn’t tell what neighborhood they were looking in unfortunately.

They mentioned this on the radio yesterday morning and that it was airing last night. Said one of them worked for the state.

Based on the couple’s jobs the show seems to overestimate the home budget they could afford in real life
Ie: I’m a kindergarten teacher, my husband is a barista and our budget is $750,000

These shows are fake af. My cousin did one and she would show the "buyer" several houses that weren't actually for sale, in one episode they did, she actually shown her own house and acted like it was some random home.
