I hate travel ball as much as the next guy but this doesn’t really qualify. This is high school kids on summer teams from all over the world. Having them play all over BR is cool and the fact that it’s free is too.
Will there be a Braden in the tournament, probably, but there will also be a Kim or Lee from Korea which is pretty neat. (I’m trying to make “neat” hip again, pass it on)

That’s weird. There’s a World Series in youngsville this weekend too. And another in Orange beach. How will we ever know who the real champions are?

Ethan will be studying to become an astronaut this weekend. Unfortunately he has the same odds as these kids playing 200 games of baseball a year to make it to the big leagues. But Daddy gets to live his failures through his 12 year old and it makes it all worth it. Even if it cost his kid his childhood.

Little do you know there’s been several summer showcases in Baton Rouge this summer. We played in 3 of them, the games are at the Box, Southern, BRCC and Brusly High. None were as big as this one though. We aren’t playing in this one. We did the Perfect Game wood bat tourneys in Hoover and Atlanta instead.

The travel ball threads are getting old and stale, especially when the posters keep throwing the same "travel ball names" out on the board over and over again.
And this coming from someone who is not fond of travel ball either. But I think it's just time to move on from this topic.
