So, I'm unsure here. Is this Jason or Jackson or both?

Im telling you. We need to get together and pitch a sitcom that revolves around Southern travel ball parents

Call Bravo and pitch the idea. There is enough train wreck families that attend these events to make it much see TV
It's already been done

I don't think anyone is upset. I just think its funny how these kids' parents are basically the same.

Ive told this story before in one of these threads, but I have two neighbors eaten up with travel ball. One has one son and the other has two. The moms are always at my house crying about how they are in dire financial straits, they don't do anything but baseball, but they can't say anything to the dads because it has become their life.

Its really sad to me. If the mom is really into it, more power to them. But I think there are families being ripped apart over their kids sports. It stops being funny at that point.

They both held their kids back in kindergarten because "redshirting" boys is an epidemic in the city where I live. The thought is that they will be bigger and faster when they get to high school - but so many people are doing it the advantage is gone.

This isn’t travel ball, this is showcase summer ball

Huge difference...if you want to sign and play college baseball, you have to play showcase ball...it is where you get in front of coaches...most formats are not actual tournaments...just a bunch of games with lots of coaches...usually held on College Campuses...two big tournaments - WWBA in UGA and the best from there are invited to the one in BR
