It ain't just about the sex. They put up with "bullshite" that a hot number wouldn't let you. They'll cook all your shite. Won't say anything if you leave them at home to go drink with the fellas. Accept that sometimes you want to be left the frick alone.
You can find a woman right at your range that will be cool with that, and she's rare. Marry her. Otherwise, you have to sacrifice the shite you like to do if you care about getting consistent pussy.

MASSIVE mistake #1. Going after "meh" girls
ONLY go after the ones you are extremely attracted to. Text them to ask to meet them. Don't chit-chat (sounds like you suck at that, anyway) Keep it simple. DO NOT try to impress. Be you. Meet her for coffee, or a beer, or whatever. Something short and sweet that either of you can escape from quickly if the chemistry isn't there.
Meet at least a dozen different women that way. Choose one from them. Be kind to the others. (the one you choose may turn out to be batshit crazy)
If none of them work out, try another dozen. This is WORK, son. Hard work. But can be quite rewarding if you put your mind to it. Well worth the effort. Let me know how it works out.

I strongly disagree. He can’t get girls he’s attracted to (he says as much in the OP) so he’s clearly doing things wrong. He needs practice and the only way to practice is with girls who will go out with him.

You think getting women is some kind of scam. It isn't. It is math. The more attractive women he meets and converses with, the more he will click with. One success in twenty makes for excellent odds, if you work at it.
Most guys are too frightened or too lazy to go after the women they find truly attractive. Their loss.

In a few years you'll realize it's not just about the 1-10 rating. Someone that the OT says is a 5, but you click with, can trust, and is actually an interesting person is far more valuable than a 9 that knows she's a 9 and doesn't really care what you think.
Even the 9's and 10's fade with time. There's nothing better than a natural looking 5 or 6 that will stay about the same with time and that actually really likes you for who you are. Just my opinion.
