I like him on the radio, don’t really care for his TV appearances.

I can’t watch First Take because that show is horrible!
His radio show isn’t bad at all. He’s stopped the yelling and only does that about 10% of the time now compared to when he did it about 80% of the time.
He knows his basketball and I appreciate his takes on the NBA. As for football, ehh, not his strong point.
I respect how hard he has worked to get where he is and as long as he’s not playing the over exuberant heal (like on first take) then I don’t mind him.

I like some of his takes. I catch his radio show when i'm driving. But, as soon as he starts taking calls i turn it. Freaking idiots...

Honest Question About Stephen A Smith
I hate the SaS radio show. It's the only time I tune my dial off 104.5
Self agrandizing, yells for no damn reason, has no idea what he's talking about unless its BB

I respect the hell of of him, his work ethic is second to none.. I enjoy him in spurts but usually can’t listen to him for to long. His endless loud rants aren’t my style and his race takes are getting tired at times depending on topic

He does the whole alter ego, highly effected speech thing I do with my best friends when I’m drunk and gets paid for it. We all have an alter ego voice, this guy just monetized his. But since he’s not one of my best friends, I’m not sitting through it . I’m not a sports “ entertainment “ guy though. I just like straight game time commentary, I don’t need to be told how to feel about a game.

I think he’s pretty talented at what he does. I don’t love him but he’s good at what he does.

I think he is repulsive

Honest Question About Stephen A Smith
Honest questions to you:
1) Why feel the need to preface the word “question” with “honest?” Do you have a reputation as a liar or someone who often asks dishonest questions? I just don’t ever understand this qualifier. “I wasn’t going to answer your question, but now that I know that it’s an honest question, well, that’s a whole different ballgame...”
2) Why not just ask your fricking question in the subject box?

My thoughts exactly.
How does my non-viewership of any Stephen A. Smith shows and the fact that I immediately turn the channel whenever he shows up on any ESPN show make ESPN money?
The only time I enjoy watching ESPN anymore is when ESPN's broadcasting an actual game.

You see how you know his name and are talking about him? That’s why he gets paid what he does. Not because people like him, but because they love to hate him.

Use to be the same way about him, instant channel change. I Occasionally listen to his radio show now that its on during the noon drive time, its not as bad as I thought it would be, I think he plays up the bs on TV.

I have no problem with him. HE has opinions, I have opinions, Booger and Marcus have opinions. It doesn't bother me to hear a narrative that I may not agree with...I'm an adult.

It's not his opinions that bother me. It's the way that he conveys the options is what turns me off

I can’t stand his ranting delivery and don’t care to watch him. However, the guy is pretty smart because he knows how to make bank while yapping about sports. Damn, he has got an opinion too!

A lot of the response have pointed out how much he makes. On the flip side, ESPN has been losing viewers in droves, so I wouldn't put it past them to make a dumb decision.

ESPN losing viewers bc of cord cutting.

I like him and Skip

He should be like Kramer on Seinfeld-He should be part of something but not the central guy. I like him is smaller doses. Espn over uses him
