This is one of my favorite unintentional satires of today's time. Lemme get this straight, I get up every Sunday morning and read of weekend instances of mostly one particular ethnicity shooting up anyplace USA with 20 and 30 gunshots only to read of 1 dead or 4 people wounded like clockwork. It always amazes me how many shots these guys get off and usually their only hit is some poor 3 year old kid who just happened to be in the vicinity of this "soldier's" target. What blows my mind even further is this very "soldier" who can't hit the broadside of a barn with 30 shots is ALWAYS the first to ask why cops can't aim to wound and not kill. Give me a fricking break

That, and probably some real trauma, a still developing brain that has issues with impulse control (age and trauma) and anger (trauma).
Doesn’t excuse it. And from what I’ve seen the cop appears to have handled it properly to save a life. But the whole thing is still a shame.

I’m not sure the taser is a great option when actively swinging a knife... and I’m not sure how many weapons a cop is to carry if he needs a taser, a gun with rubber bullets, a real gun, pepper spray... at some point more options has risk of more mistakes in a volatile moment.
I have pretty high expectations of trained officers doling out death... but at some point he has to just act when a life is on the line.
