They took them to another location to torture them to find out the location of their valuables. I'm sure they probably stopped by an atm and cleared that out as well. Once they were dead they just dumped them wherever was convenient.

I'm just now seeing this...I can't fricking believe it. I am good friends with their daughter...have been since high school. She's extremely close to her parents and recently lived with them until she purchased her house. This is terrible...this world is shite and getting worse. so fricking sad

I stayed at Highland Plantation for a couple of months before Hurricane Gustave wrecked my apartment.
Best thing to that happened to me while I was there. That place was full of users and thugs.

those highland Plantation ones are pretty awful, I knew some people that lived in there. They were mostly very cheap student housing but it seemed like every month some dude got busted for dealing out of them.

It's sad. I really like the big white house near 5020 that was for sale (may still be) last time I drove down that road. I really like the area but having those apartments next to these nice houses always seemed strange to me.

Yeah, the apartments are really old.
I couldn't get time off to find an apartment in Baton Rouge. I was living in Mobile at the time.
A bunch of old graduates who told me it's where they stayed said it was nice and away from the ghetto. I called the office and the manager told me how safe it was and reasonably priced.
It WAS the ghetto for that nice area. I lived next two some dindu Katrina NO transplants and they tried to break into my apartment a few times.
Then Gustave came and took my roof off. I was put up at the Southgate Towers for no extra charge.

The point of that long story is I wouldn't be surprised if some junky thugs were involved.
