I'm in/thru CLT twice a week on average, I can probably walk it blindfolded by now
Ive gotten so used to it by now, there's nothing left for me to complain about. And I land/takeoff from E more often than not. At least they reponed the entryway and precheck is centralized again
the biggest problem is the building of the new runways and the taxi to/from the terminal. If you're connecting and landing at E, build in an extra 45 min, b/c you land in basically S Carolina, and taxi all the way around B, C, and D, just to get to E. And if youre on the far side of E, like in the 30's, bring a snack and a book, you'll be on the tarmac for a while
I hope when the new runways are complete, the trek wont be so damn bad

Everyone is like, Charlotte has those cute rocking chairs.
MFer I'm hauling my arse off I have no time to rock in a damn chair, I only get to look at them as I fly by.
Yup, I've never, not once, sat in one of those fricking things

Maybe they'll unfrick their airport at some point
Already in the works. Adding a fourth parallel runway and will have taxiway loops to expedite traffic and limit runway crossings which slow down aircraft movement.
The only real drawback is unlike DFW where the terminal sits in between the runways, CLT will have three of four runways on one side. So it will still be a lengthy taxi from the outer to terminal E.

Yeah but they’re still ok with letting violent criminals back out on the streets.
That judge that let that guy out that murdered that Ukrainian girl is still on the bench.

Louisiana residents talking trash about literally any other city in the US is hilarious, especially a city like Charlotte that is vastly superior to anything that’s ever been, is currently, or ever will be in the state of Louisiana lol.

B to E (if my memory serves me) for the win a few times
Same. Did it once and looked for flights through any other hub after that.

That state is rapidly becoming a Liberal cess pond

Cities like Austin, Charlotte, and Nashville are unrecognizable from 25 years ago. I grew up in Nashville and live here once again, and its a completely different place from when I left in 2003. Some good. Some bad. All in all, its a decent t place to raise a family and own a business. Id imagine Charlotte is the same.

If other places would just season their food and let us drink outside, we wouldn’t have to talk shite about them.

It's pretty frustrating New Orleans was never able to get it's act together and do something similar.

I’ve heard their airport is brutally horrible
Aside from the recent construction, I prefer the Charlotte Airport over many others. I can’t stand Atlanta and Miami. I sometimes go out of my way to use Charlotte or Newark.

I fly A LOT, and I'll take Charlotte over DFW or Orlando or O'Hare in Chicago any day of the week.
DFW has trains, but they take forever and are crowded as all hell.
O'Hare requires more walking than CLT.
I almost never go through ATL any more, and I don't miss it.

Chill bro, most is positive except the crappy airport layout

I don’t think the leadership ever wanted New Orleans to grow like those cities. At least they make decisions like they don’t
Posted on 11/6/25 at 10:32 am to yellowfin
They would rather have all of a $1000 then 1% of $10 million.

Insanity. ATL is my favorite connection in the country. And while you didn't outright say it, implying that CLT can hold a candle to ATL is utter insanity

Preach brother. The Cheesecake Factory there is fricking amazing. Don't get me started on the PF Changs. Chef's Kiss!

Thing is, they all are now basically indistinguishable from each other at this point.
I get the desire/need for population density in these burgeoning "new urban" areas, but can't we start coming up with something besides thse 4-5 story drab block apartment buildings that all these places have been building for the past 20 or so years to get there?
