No BS
Apparently the monarch viewed white as a symbol of royalty so they made that their flag for 15 years.

The Bourbon flag was white with flour de lis, before the revolution, and Napoleon took power after that shite show. Your post is historically absurd.

That was the flag before the revolution. This is the flag of the Bourbon Restoration, it was just a plain white flag. The Royal standard for the royal family had a the Bourbon crest in the middle:

Oh I know, I'm a francophile myself. I just got a kick of the irony that they adopted a plain white flag.

Idiocy of the plan aside, the French garrison at Dien Bien Phu fought hard, in the most awful circumstances.

And the French also performed well in Algeria.

Why is the Champs de Elysee lined with trees?

Germans like to march in the shade!

The French fought courageously in WW1, better than the loser brits who refused to engage the Germans.

I have a strong French ancestry, but they came over in the 1600’s back when France was still an international badass. I don’t claim the frogs of today.

My ancestry ran the great tournaments in the Middle Ages and my last name is a derivative of what we use as slang, tourney.

I’m not a Francophile but Napoleon took the mothafricking Kremlin by force.

That singular accomplishment gets cred.

France gets a bad rap for surrendering quickly in WWII but they lost 85k men in 6 weeks of fighting. Germany lost 27k men. In comparison, the US lost less than 4500 in Iraq and Afghanistan combined since 2001.
