This is true for everything. Mass produced crap, even most "luxury" items are lipstick on a pig. It's a disposable society.
I could not agree more. Except for a few exceptions, artizanship is a thing of the past.

cant name a single rock band that makes music right now that is worth their weight in shite.
Probably because you only listen to the radio?
The War on Drugs, Grizzly Bear, The National will all be some of the best music releases this year. These are indie rock, but I can give a huge list of bands. Sturgill Simpson isn't rock, but he is a fricking rock star on stage.
What artists do you like, I can make some recommendations.

The blacks were doing well before gangster rap. Hell, they were even better before the welfare expansion in the 1960s.
Black culture prior to that was a very positive thing. Go listen to some Temptations.
Not so much anymore.

The thing is US rap and hip-hop isn't even as good as Latin rap and hip-hop. Latinos have become superior at it.

Which one of those artists have come out in the last 10 years? Most of the rock bands you listed are on life support and the members have to carry oxygen tanks on stage bc they're so old. So yes, rock is dead, regardless of how many list you show with top concerts of bands that are 10+ years old.
Haha. So a band has to have come out in the last 10 years to count? How many rappers or rap groups are in the top 10 (new or older)? Actually, the newest act in the top 10 is Ed Sheeran and even he has been releasing music since 2010. So there aren't any really new acts at the top.
The facts show that as far as live music goes, the demand for rock music is very much still there. Guns N' Roses sold 32,000+ for their New Orleans show last year (a 60% black city) and I'm sure U2 will have a big crowd when they play the Dome in a month or so. Sorry you don't like to deal with actual facts. I may not like most newer rock bands as much as the bands I grew up with, but I think that's true for about 98% of people and the old farts that we all turn into without realizing it.

That's because rap sounds shitty live. It's just a couple of dudes running around stage yelling and swearing. If they happen to sing in any songs, it's heavily edited and sounds equally shitty live.
I only listen to rap when I want some rage, but most of it is not music or art. It's shite.

Rap is the pits of the earth.

All the while jazz has become too complex for most normal listening audiences. That is a real shame.

According to the music geniuses of TD (both the OT and MB), a new rock band has to sell 10 million albums and headline festivals after their first single or else the band is a failure and the genre is dying. Meanwhile rap can have a neverending stream of one hit wonders who are never heard from again and that's fine.
Rock tends to have a lot more longevity. Which rappers from the 80s are headlining football stadiums? Rappers seem like they're in a hurry to get out of rapping. They all want to be actors or fashion designers or run their own record label. Rock musicians are in it for the music.
