No it means you are a weak minded degenerate w/zero self control and this is coming from a person with a family member who is an addict

So where do I possibly start with this smug piece of shite?

First off saying you have an addict in your family and that you know addiction is like saying you've had a person with cancer in your family and you're a cancer expert. If your family is at least medium sized, its a virtual certainty that you have an addict in your family. So frick you and your smugness saying you're the expert here having an addict in your family.

And I have several addicts in my family, and all of them are very successful. Save for one, I wouldn't describe them as weak. They are all people who have their unique problems and have a genetic disposition to alcoholism. One of my cousins got in a horrible car accident and then became addicted to Oxytocin as a result of it.

But yeah, you've got stronger will than them to not end up in their situations. Who the frick are you to say if circumstances hadn't been different in my life that I wouldn't have become addicted to something? Instead you just judge them from your glass house. Have fun continuing to do that, you hypocritical piece of shite. But wait, I can't judge you because you have an addict in your family that you judge at your discretion.

Go frick yourself, you fricking twat.

Wrong. I have been an addict. Pretty bad. In and out of jail with it for about two years, almost killed myself a couple times with it, the whole nine yards. I god damn guarantee I know more about addiction than a lot of holier than thou people in this thread, and I am telling you that the way to help an addict is not to pity them or to "be there for them." It's to fricking hate them. Be angry at them. If you love them without the drugs, hate them that much more for using. Be mean to them. Tell them to their face "you are a degenerate piece of shite." The problem is going to keep getting worse until people start to have as little respect for a drug addict as they have for themselves. And guess what? A heroin user knows from the first hit they take that heroin can and will fricking kill you. And they take it anyway. That is a detestable act, and not a single people on this earth feeling sorry for them and oh how sad and think of the children is doing a damn thing to help, and they're actually making it worse.

Now we have to accept that death is the acceptable answer to degeneracy.
what does this even mean?

I'm not going to cry and go to a candle light vigil every time a junkie dies. When you put a lighter under a spoon and stick a needle in your arm, you're asking to die.

But you'd meet your own definition of being eliminated from society. People deserve a second chance with this.

It's simply bizarre to me you could say such a thing that its good these addicts have died and be an addict yourself.

"Shaming works, that's why liberals do it." - MILO

Another thing that makes me laugh about this board and the heroin epidemic: pretty much everyone on TD preaches personal accountability whenever possible, but when it comes to smack "it's the stupid evil doctor's fault!"

It's not the doctors fault. That's just dumb.

But to the and answer a complex question with a simple answer is just as dumb.

There is pretty of culpability to go around. No one has completely cornered the market on who is to blame for the heroin death rate.

It's such a tough problem. We Americans will get our dope, one way or the other. Via legal or illegal means.

I think the problem is the law honestly.

Have a drinking problem? Go to AA or rehab.

Have a drug problem? Go to prison, have your parents home siezed for possessing your drugs, become a confidential informant after your plea deal, try and become sober, but can't get a job because of criminal record, start using again, and either get killed in the drug war, OD, or go back to prison.

How are drugs different than alcohol again?

It's time we treat drug addiction like the medical, not criminal issue, it is.

The harsh penalties are not because you're a drug addict. It's built for the dealers/cookers. Heavy weight dealers/suppliers. The system is built to stop it at the top, it just so happens that users get caught in the crosshairs

"Heroin is coming back"

It's coming back because people can't get their pills now but they are still addicts. A larger percentage of the population is now doing heroin because of this. More people on H equals more overdoses.

It's coming back because open boarders are allowing the bad guys to destroy us from the inside out. Bring enough drugs in to destabilize the Country and you can make just about anything happen. And if you think I have a tin foil hat on just ponder this.....
There are more opioid scripts active in Louisiana today than there are people.....
