Don't have to be a broker to list tickets on ticket master....and who can't at 16 has enough income that 5 minutes work for $1000 is to much effort? If that is indeed the case I would posit that yes, indeed, she is being raised differently than about 99% of 16 year olds in the US.

I'm gonna have to side with 08 here, but for a different reason.
I'm assuming here, but I'm guessing the offer was to come with someone else who had the ticket.
Not that someone was just offering her a ticket to do with as she wished with no strings

It was both. I offered to buy her the tickets myself and she was also offered tickets from another person.
She turned us both down.

Okay, but the offer from someone else wasn't to go by herself, it was to go with the person that offered, right?
I mean, can you imagine the scenario where her friend is in her seat (guessing it was a female? Even funnier if it was a male). And some sweaty 35 year old dude with male pattern baldness, a patchy beard and a 2 sizes too small Taylor swift shirt sits down next to them, horrified.

He grew up in Westlake, OH, population 31,000, 91% white. The people up there have an interesting accent. Maybe he got it from his parents.

More of a comment about you stating some people raise their kids differently because yours turned down free tickets. I was merely agreeing with you, you have certainly raised your kid differently. If she wasn't interested in going that is different. If someone was going to give her tickets and she turned them down when she could have sold them thats different. You said you raised her differently and either way I am agreeing with you. As far as some 40 year old man giving her $1000 for the ticket I am also agreeing with that premise...I am quite certain someone would have, if all the stories are true. It is more than OK with me that she is not into Taylor Swift, in fact I could not care one way or the other. Why someone agreeing with your original premise and subsequent premises seems to have gotten your hackles up is strange to say the least. Yes, you have raised your child differently than some...I truly apologize with me agreeing with your sentiment somehow having triggered your fee fees....
