Everyone of those dumbasses that missed their flight, tried to save money and time by booking flights too close together, and they miss their connecting flight, which they bought a cheap, non-refundable ticket.
This is the exact reason I had two four hour lay overs in NYC and Rome. I could have booked flights that were about an hour apart from landing and take off, but I didn’t want to risk it.

I sprinted across DFW last week after my first leg was delayed 45 minutes. Got to my gate 12 minutes before departure. They decided to close the gate early on me. It was the last flight of the day to a small regional airport with no connecting flights. I was pissed . I don't get any satisfaction from taking it out on different customer service reps though. Other people were in a similar position and did not keep their cool.

Not really. She didn't go through proper channels to fly her cat with her. They need to quarantine the cat to make sure it has been immunized and isn't bringing in any diseases. They have a reason behind their regulations.
If someone did the same with a pet into Hawaii they would do the same thing. I've had a friend move to Hawaii and her dog had to be quarantined for a set amount of days(forgot how many).
