If they won’t decay and pose no environmental threat why not just dump them in the ocean

Wind power is NOT green energy. Not with the use of industrial scale wind farms.

You have to factor in all of the ear cancer they cause too.

I have owned a diesel BMW since 2015 and I have NEVER seen one of those anywhere from Central Louisiana on South.

Old blades could not be recycled. New GE blades (via Vestas) are recyclable.

The blades can be recycled

Currently, there’s not enough of a market for recycled fiberglass to ramp up recycling old windmills.
Sure they can be, but they aren’t. So kind of a dumb point until they are being recycled.

Thats not at all clever of funny. Dont come on a Louisiana based site and chastise everyone for not seeing diesel pumps that arent available here.

LOL, gatekeeping a website. They ARE available - like I said, they're at every single chain truck stop. Pilot, Loves, TA, Petro, etc ALL have them in Louisiana, and most independent truck stops have a few.

Most people don't understand that all those windmills and solar panels will have a shorter commercial lifespan than a new combined cycle gas unit. They have this idea that those things generate clean energy forever, when in reality those 400 acres of solar panels it takes to generate the same amount of power will end up maybe making it 30 years before they get replaced.

No, they arent. I drive a diesel and I have homes in central louisiana and southeast louisiana. These things are incredibly rare at best. You denying that is meaningless.

C'mon man, these have been going up for the last 10 years all over the country. Every truck stop has them, pretty much every chain gas station that's worth a shite has them in as well:

This is absolutely not true at all. Most do not have these. Hell, I'd say less than 1% have these.

Dude, I'm a trucker. I fill up a 15 gallon tank of DEF at least twice a week and I haven't bought a container of it in YEARS. Not in Louisiana, not in any state because it's available AT THE PUMPS. Truck drivers would go through tens of millions of those containers per week in this country if they weren't.

I've driven all over the damn nation, horsemeat may be seeing them but he's intentionally looking for them.

They aren't around random gas stations.

Commercial diesel pumps are almost always separate from regular passenger diesel pumps at the truck stops you referenced, so I'm not sure what point you are tying to make here. Even when I sneak onto those pumps from time to time, I have NEVER EVER seen one of those pumps. There are deterioration issues with DEF which is why mass storage is rare.

These pumps are not widely available for the vast majority of people. This is an irrefutable fact.

Sorry if Punjay Singh that runs the local off brand gas station doesn't have them for you, but I assure you - if you go to a chain truck stop in Louisiana THEY ARE THERE. They have the same nozzles to fit any DEF tank. Loves, Pilot, TA, Petro, etc ALL. HAVE. THEM. I see pickup trucks pull around to the diesel pumps just to use the def pumps.

Recycling turbine blades into concrete admixtures - GE
Recycling into bus stops, bike shelters

Not to mention the blade fiberglass repair industry has made significant strides in increasing the usable life of blades on turbines through routine maintenance and early repairs once inspections turn up any problems.

Most of the financial models for wind and solar use a 20 or 25 year period depending on the vehicle. And you are correct that NG unit will last longer, but will have significantly higher O&M costs.
