Here's a budget breakdown of a couple that makes $200,000 a year and yet is scraping by

this should be fun
Poor little rich kids....
There is a lot more in the article. I just thought it is funny that they are basically say the couple is living paycheck to paycheck while factor in that they budget for 2 vacations, donate to charity, max out their 401k, etc.
Does this look like your budget ballers?

This lovely family of three living in San Francisco, with two working parents making $100,000 each (hooray for income equality!) are left with roughly $5,700 a year in disposable income after expenses and 401k contribution. Given their total cost is $121,700 after tax a year, that’s roughly $10,000 a month they’re spending.

Student Loans: $0
A lot of readers who make this income level have pointed out in the comments that this couple is lucky because they don’t have any student loans. They are right! They paid for their education along with the help from their parents.

Wtf?

they have more than $5700 in disposable income. they're spending a ton on vacations, consumer debt, clothes, lessons. that's disposable stuff.
and lol at $50k house expenses. peopel is dum.

Food seems low.
I know it's San Francisco, but do they need a 700k home?
There are so many things to cut back on in this list. 3600 in home maintenance is just a bad year. It should not be that high.

and this
living paycheck to paycheck doesn't mean maxing out 401k and taking 2 vacations a year

I get that this is supposed to be a Bay Area family but anywhere else in country buying a $700,000 house on a combined income of $200,000 a year is pretty stupid

Those two vacations would turn to one real quick.
