I absolutely hate and despise plumbing. It is a very messy process and great way to blow a bunch of cash. If you do it yourself, it is time consuming as well.

Today's mess: I need to buy a toilet. I have found that it is desirable to have a elongated and higher up toilet. After that I can spend $120 to $1200+.

WTF is the difference??? They're big white flower pots. There are literally no moving parts other than the rubber valve, flusher, and pull mechanism, all available for a grand total of $25 at Lowes.

I understand it costs a bit more to get a higher efficiency toilet, elongated, taller. Okay so there's $20 more of white flower pot material.

Where does the rest of this money go? Why should I spend over $200???

Get a belly of spicy crawfish and cheap beer the night before, go shopping for one first thing the next morning, take it for a test drive.

In my experience there's a big difference between the $99 ones they put in crappy apartments and a $200-250 one. I don't see any reason to spend much more than that for most people though.

That scene in Jackass has to be up there for one of the best reality skits.

I agree with Toto or Gerber. Go visit a Coburn’s, Southern Pipe, or LCR and they’ll all help you out.

Get an old 1980s or older unit made before the nanny state started dictating how we need to live.

Oh I got a handle on that one, thanks boss. Last week in greater mobile I tried to out-pizza the hut if you know what I mean. I have some innate testing abilities and can unleash them at any time.

Before monkey pox it was a bit of a hobby of mine. Now you never know what's growing on those seats. Gotta keep it at home if you can.

Where did you hear that a "higher up" toilet is good? When I am sitting, I like my feet to be flat on the floor so that there is little or no pressure on my legs.

Now, if you are say, 6'-2" or taller..... the 17 inch tall toilets may be what you like. I am shorter, and the 15" tall feel fine for me.

The "soft close" lid feature and power flush are nice.
