Navy or grey suit. Black is for funerals. If you go to a department store they're going to have what's in style so I wouldn't worry to much about that.

Yeah, the wedding is in Vegas, not Paris.

Vegas wedding in August, it's going to be 110 degrees. I doubt people will be in coat and tie, unless someone is from there?

The suits above are definitely suitable, it's well worth having a nice suit and everyone has at least 5 occasions a year to wear one.

Hit up the outlet stores. You can get nice name brand suits at a good discount.

I know you're a troll, but the suggestions are pretty good.

In any of these threads, you have to remember that you're going to encounter a large group which wears square toe black shoes and/or cowboy boots with everything.

Tampa has a SuitSupply

I'd go that route

Navy suit in a year round fabric, two button, modern cut (high gorge, high arm holes, trim sleeves, 3ish inch lapels give or take a little - bigger guy, wider lapels, trimmer guy narrower) and double vented or center vent with plain front or at worst single pleat trousers. Make sure person fitting you (or even better a good tailor) knows what they are doing.

Doesn't have to be solid navy, could be a subtle pattern, but if you only have one suit, I would suggest you keep it pretty staid. Navy Glen Plaid, tone on tone stripe, subtle chalk stripe (make it subtle or it'll look too much business), or windowpane.

Don't go to a wedding in a sport coat or even something less unless its some kind of destination wedding that specifies such. Buy a good suit and wear it when you can.

I like how ppl here still think I am a troll, considering 3 OT regulars now have confirmation otherwise.

You need to invest in a nicely-tailored blue suit. Get a white button down (that's not transparent). If it's more on the "casual" side like you say, skip the tie. Cognac (light brown) leather shoes and matching belt.

This is solid advice.
