Help diagnosing a car problem with limited info

Car is a pretty new Nissan altima (not sure of exact year). Car worked fine this morning. Went to get into car this afternoon and nothing on the dashboard is coming on. Speedometer doesn't work, not showing how much gas, no lights on entire dash.
That's the only information I was given. Does it sound likely that it's just a fuse issue, or something else given that little knowledge?

Sounds like your headlight fluid is leaking.

How do you not know the exact year?

Because it's not my vehicle. I'm nowhere near the vehicle. Was just called with this problem and given that info

but did you start the engine?

Well I didn't start the engine, but they are currently driving the car. So yes, the engine started.

No doubt it's the Johnson Rod

Did she check the flux capacitor? Could just need some plutonium.

If you were parked near a tree, a squirrel got into your engine compartment and chewed up the wires. Apparently they love that shite.

He clearly said he was given that info. Try using your brain people.
OP, if the car is running, I'd check for a loose connection to the gauge cluster or a fuse.

No way to know for sure until you check the fuses.

It's obviously an electrical problem. I would start with the obvious and check the fuses and battery. Since it started, it doesn't appear to be the battery.

I had a Chevy pickup do the same thing. The instrument cluster was bad. I sent it off to this company. LINK /
Been working fine since

OP, it very well could be the battery/alternator. When my alternator went out, the first symptom was my instrument cluster going out, then the radio, then the engine sputtered and failed when the battery was too weak to fire the sparkplugs.
No check engine light?
It could also be something as simple as a loose connector but I don't see how a connector in the dash all of a sudden becomes loose.

I don't mind helping people, but sometimes they give out info like the KGB.

security system needs resetting, something probably bumped around in the trunk.
Use the key, open and close all doors and trunk.
I've had this happen before.
Edit, only replied to the first post, after reading the others, and seeing that it started...the instrument cluster is bad, should only cost about a grand to replace it.
