They don't have to allow you to smoke on campus at all. Be thankful they provided you with a place to smoke and do the best you can with it.

Another option is to just go frick yourself.

Trashy people smoke.

I can't stand it when they smoke in walking paths or at an entrance.

You might have a case, if you smoke your employer is required to give you a 15 minute smoke break once an hour in a designated area no less than 10 feet from the entrance. Email me if you have any questions.

Let me ask you this- Am I allowed to take a fricking break to just hang out and do nothing for 5 minutes at a time if I don't smoke? Am I allowed to just throw my trash on the ground?

Just smoke inside anyway I mean you work there and bring the company money so why shouldn't you be allowed to enjoy an occasional burn at your workplace that is ridiculous to have to walk that far I completely agree thanks

Yea of course they can. The guys who put those rules in place aren't trash who smoke, so they don't care to encourage you to smoke, and they definitely want to stop you from smoking near them

I approve of them doing that too, smoking is a filthy, trashy habit

Pretty much thinking that all of you self righteous liberal bastards can frick off with your anti rhetoric.

Most smokers understand the loath for smoking with the non smokers and typically have no issues with not contaminating your environment with second hand smoke. BUT, should those who want to smoke choose to do so, it IS thier right to do so in an environment designated as such. And not in an area designated across town.

Dgaf if you agree or not.

No it's not. Smokers are not a protected class. Most hospitals are smoke free campuses. Meaning that NO ONE(not patients, families, staff, etc) can smoke anywhere on hospital property. There are no designated smoking areas....if they really want to smoke...they have to walk all the way off the property to do so(and most hospitals have HUGE campuses).

like is it illegal to place it so far that you cant even get there without walking forever or getting wet if its raining its been so cold lately too. i even understand why you cant smoke inside anymore cause of chemicals i get it but saying you cant smoke so far away you might as well not even smoke at all just wonderin if this is illegal or can you sue them to bring it closer thanks

My dream world would be one in which you perform a service for someone by their rules and you get paid for doing it and if you do it you get to keep all of the money they pay you for it. If you didn't like it you could leave to go somewhere else and they could find someone else that wants the job. No government intervention at all. Unfortunately that is not the case in the US right now, its so stupid and people like you are the problem you frick.

While I will agree that if you own the property you decide the rules, my choice to comply or not, bitch away if not. My grief as a smoker is mainly that those who do not smoke bitch and moan about us low life bastards when we are willing to respect the air you breathe but you consciously choose to enter a designated smoking area. Aka a designated smoking area, a bar that allows it etc.... Don't like it, get the frick off my grass bitch!

Edited to add conscious smoking area.

I don't think they're allowed to make you smoke at all.

Unless maybe you're quality control for a tobacco company.

Are you being serious? They can tell you no smoking on the entire property.

i think you should tell them to go flush themselves because they don't deserve the quality you bring to the table and all
