It’s funny how liberals are all about open borders and helping everyone, but will literally defend Joe for abandoning these people. Some of the comments say things like, “they need to defend their own country”… LOL LIKE TRUMP WAS SAYING BOUT AMERICA BUT YALL HAD A PROBLEM WITH THAT?

No sympathy for those a-holes. Seem to be able-bodied enough to chase down a plane and grab on. Should have fought the Taliban with the billions of dollars of weapons we gave them if they are that bad.

First, I want to say that Biden has completely fricked this up, I am not denying that. Actually, you know what? I think Biden is president in name only.

With that said, you have to also look at the whole picture.

The RNC deleted post of them celebrating Trump's deal with the Taliban.

The Independent

Newsweek

And you can see for yourself all the other websites that are reporting this.

quote:

The US and the Taliban have signed an "agreement for bringing peace" to Afghanistan after more than 18 years of conflict.

The US and Nato allies have agreed to withdraw all troops within 14 months if the militants uphold the deal.

President Trump said it had been a "long and hard journey" in Afghanistan. "It's time after all these years to bring our people back home," he said.

Talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban are due to follow.

Under the agreement, the militants also agreed not to allow al-Qaeda or any other extremist group to operate in the areas they control.

BBC

There is a video of Trump's speech about this.

quote:

A year and a half since U.S. special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad brokered a “peace agreement” between the United States and Taliban leaders, there is no peace in Afghanistan.

Instead of negotiating a power-sharing deal with the Afghan government, the Taliban have unleashed a military onslaught to take power by force, seizing on the withdrawal of U.S. troops as their moment of opportunity.

As Afghanistan plunged into chaos in recent days, with civilians flooding into Kabul, the capital, to escape the advancing Taliban, Khalilzad made a last-ditch bid to try to stop the bloodletting.

But as he conferred with diplomats from Russia, China and other world powers in Doha, Qatar, this week, the Taliban seized more territory and overran the cities of Herat in the west and Kandahar in the south. In Washington, the Pentagon announced plans to deploy 3,000 troops to Kabul airport to oversee the evacuation of dozens of staff from the U.S. Embassy.

NBC News

If Trump was in office there is a good chance the same thing would be going on.

But for years and years people have been saying "we need to get out" and all the Trump people were excited when he made this peace treaty with the Taliban and now blaming Biden for the whole thing.. Can everyone at least agree that both of them share blame for what's going on?

There's plenty of blame to go around for this flaming pile of shite.

China is already tweeting at Taiwan the same thing will happen to them if they count on American help.

I was trying to explain this to co-workers this morning. I think all of this would have happened regardless of who was in office.

This will pale in comparison to the number of people who will die because they worked with us and our allies over the past 20 years, and the Taliban has their names and know where they live, make no mistake about that.

This is going to get a lot lot worse, and Biden and company are going to own every single bit of it too. He voted in favor of the war, and now he’s the one in charge of pulling troops out and the place is going to hell in a hand basket. This is HIS BABY. Every bit of it.

It was going to happen. It didn't have to happen this way. This particular frickup is on Biden. But every president since GWB shares in the overall responsibility.

Lol, is this a serious question?

I can, but I'm a libertarian. No one is going to admit their party has any blame in the matter.

Exactly. Biden and his people are idiots, but a lot of this is on the Afghan army. And it makes you wonder if they ever had any intention of doing anything on their own, or if the plan to roll over to the Taliban was the ultimate goal after all.

But one thing you can pin directly on Biden and his idiots is how this is being handled right now. The extraction should have been planned and carried out; not this clusterfrick that is going on right now. They have stranded a lot of innocent people in some very hostile territory, and this seems like it has the potential to get much, much worse.

We all know there is plenty of blame to go around. Covering your arse while every one gets out is the problem here. How do you not have plenty of boots on the ground and gun ships in the sky until all assets are out of the country? That is what people are pissed about besides a pointless 20 year war. This was always going to be a power vacuum and ugly on the way out. A kid that played Call of Duty could tell you what to do and it would have played out better.
