I had a foggy commute this morning in Southern middle TN at 6am. Hard to see THP in the medians. That’s the thickest fog I’ve seen in a long time.

Okay, but the liquid product he is spraying evaporates more at higher temps. It's absolutely better to apply just after dusk or before dawn for efficiency sake.

That makes sense, was the answer I was looking for.

We spray our lilies in our duck ponds with 2,4-D during during the hottest part of the summer....so that makes sense

Most assuredly it was not equipped with air conditioning. Ag birds need all the payload they can carry, and air conditioners add weight (75-100 lbs) and complexity(they always are breaking) Not needed to do the mission. Half of our birds have it half dont. Wish none of them did. They are shite.

Looks like it’s back of Laurel valley. They have a power line that runs parallel to the bayou. He clipped that and went down.

Awful.

Flights delayed where I'm at due to weather, but there's always that one batch of people that try to fly.

Horrible!

The station also confirmed that the pilot has been identified as Stanley Hebert Jr., of Abbeville.

It was my ex GF’s dad. He was very experienced and like most ag accidents, made a critical mistake in a critical phase of flight. Ag spraying is a very high risk job.

Guy is from Abbeville. My oldest went to school with their two kids. The deceased and his wife live about 3 minutes from my home.

Are you switching over to drones anytime soon?

has this guy been spraying around Thibodaux for a while. He would pass over the house in the mornings before we leave for school and the kids would go out and wave. Looked like the same helicopter.
