Gulf side of Florida is killing my insurance rates here in FL. Can we please have two separate states. We can call it east and west Florida. Let those West coast Floridians pay the higher rates. Sorry it has come to this.

Where is the 5AM/6AM cone update?
Well, where is it? The last update was at 1AM (CDT) which is 5+ hours ago. I thought maybe the models were too out of control and they were afraid to post something that disjointed.

The 06Z GFS would be pretty nightmarish for a storm surge potential in Tampa gets it so close to them then hits north of Tampa

Yeah, models are putting out some interesting stuff this morning

Should we begin evacuating the woodlands by midweek or earlier?

Where do you live? Let me guess, near Biloxi.

Honestly would be surprising but god its hard to ignore the HWRF after the last few seasons.

Ida came right over the top of my house as a cat 3 2,200 dollars damage would have been about two years of insurance payments the deductale would have cost more.

What would you do if it was $100k in damage?

Same. For Francine I didn't even turn on a news channel until the storm was hitting, just to see the live footage (and even this thread is better for that most of the time as well). And Francine was coming right at me early on. I have more trust in the 3-4 posters in this thread. I just go off of what RDS/Duke say and the links they provide of videos.
That's why the constant attention whoring from some of these threads can get annoying. You are trying to catch up on valuable information and you have 20 pages of people repeating 10 year old jokes like it's still funny.
