70 million people getting this virus over the span of a few months would collapse the healthcare system in America

Your Point?

I never argued against that

I'm sure CNN has told you that your car is killing the Earth and Trump is a Russian agent. If only we could be so enlightened.

I’m 36 in jeans and 38-40 in pants. I am far leaner than him. When I was 285 I was snuggly in a 42, and still much leaner.

You’d be surprised that 44” waists are quit prevalent.

Google his name in Google images. There's a law firm pic.

Aside from all the bickering does anyone know how he and his family are doing?

Weighing 270lbs in and of itself is not a risk factor.

I'm about 6'3" 225 atm. The fattest I've ever been is about 245. I was still pretty physically active when I was 245. Just drank and ate too much at that age. The largest pant size I've ever worn was 36.

I’ve worked with Mark quite a bit, a few years back. Really good guy. Really good attorney. He’s not 350. He has no underlying health conditions. He’s no different than most mid-life Louisiana men.

Have some damn respect people. I get that it makes you all feel better that you may weigh 30 or 40 lbs less than him, and that you all want to have a 15 page thread analyzing his weight and blame THAT as the reason he’s in ICU. Think whatever makes you all feel better. But can you keep that shite to yourself?

No one wants to find out about an old work colleague this way...and then read pages of keyboard warriors shitting all over him.

No you just downplayed it by saying most everyone wouldn’t get while 70 million would. Yes 260 million wouldn’t get it but 70 is still a damn large quotient of the pop

You’re trying to downplay something 70 million people are going to get with deaths likely being in the hundreds of thousands

Still on ventilator as far as I know...I don't see him much nowadays, but we hung out in the same circles back in the day. I'm friends with his brother on FB. It's hard for his family since no one can be with him as he's in quarantine.

No one's sure how he contracted it either. I didn't think catching this thing would be a big deal as I'm younger and healthy, but it does have me taking more precautions now.

What exactly do you think my point is?

I made a simple factual statement that most people won’t get infected, and those healthy that do get infected would likely have a mild case

That’s it. Nothing is said should have caused any argument, but a select poster doesn’t know what the word most means

Can't even imagine how his son is dealing with this. Damn.

And they likely might never know. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and gets back to normal life soon.

Your point of the post was to downplay it by saying most people wouldn’t get it.

70 million isn’t most but that’s a large percentage.

worst case
Between 160 million and 214 million people in the United States could be infected over the course of the epidemic, according to a projection that encompasses the range of the four scenarios. That could last months or even over a year, with infections concentrated in shorter periods, staggered across time in different communities, experts said. As many as 200,000 to 1.7 million people could die.

the thing is when it comes back this fall next winter or in a few years,,, if it comes back soon,,,total panic

if in a few years,, people will be so blah

just like Katrina to Rita to every other Hurricane since
