My sugar level is 6.1. Is “pre diabetic” a new name for “you’re too fat” or is 6.1 dangerous?

It means get your shite under control or you're gonna be doing the finger sticks and insulin soon.
ETA: And you're probably too fat.

You have pre-diabetes. Should follow the advice of myself and Mingo to avoid years of insulin shots down the road

Yes to the first, not yet but could be to the second. Fix the first and you'll fix your A1C and it won't be dangerous.

Your diabetic feet will be fun to deal with in a couple years.

Diabetes is no joke. I’ve been a diabetic for almost a decade. I’ve had to get my right big toe amputated and a pinky finger.

How old were you? Did you exercise at all or have a significant family history?

I would have thought that would be pretty close to ideal weight for that height, certainly not something to throw off a 10.9.
Yes, diabetes impacts fat people, but a lot of is is hereditary.

No a lot of it is fat people, some of it is hereditary. Diabetes was very rare before everyone became a fatass

I would say if a guy with those stats is throwing a 10.9, it's a lot hereditary.
More people, more diabetics.
And yes, a lot of fat people as well who are first-generation diabetic due to being fat.

You're talking about the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Is that your A1c level ?
You want it under 6 but you are close and would be considered controlled.
I'm not a Dr
