Health Insurance Premiums and Deductibles.....

I want to see has anyone's health plan actually improved for 2019.
My company had it's annual review this week to go over the changes in the company's Health Plan and it's getting worse and worse ever damn year. In 2018, my company had a high deductible health plan where:
Premiums = $233/month
Deductible = $8,000
Once deductible met, everything covered 100%
Company contributes $1,300 annually to HSA
Company cost = $1,898/month
For 2019, the changes are
Premiums = $169/month
Deductible = $10,000
Once deductible met, 30% co-insurance kicks in
Max out of pocket = $13,500
Company contributes $1,300 annually to HSA
Company cost = $1,370/month
We don't even feel like we can use the damn insurance b/c of the high arse deductible. How is this shite even affordable? The only thing it's good for is if you happen to get hospitalized for an extended amount of time. Outside of that it's basically useless. I feel like I'm just throwing money away. The deductible is getting so damn high, I'm considering getting Gap Health Insurance for my Regular Health Insurance which is insane that I have to even consider buying something like this. Ok, I needed to vent and get that of my chest.
/endrant
*edited to change monthly premiums because I was originally off with what I thought. I had to go look it up for actuals.

Nope. For the PPO, our out of pocket maximum went up 2000K and the monthly premium went up 100 bucks more a month. Co-pays went from 40 bucks to 60 as well.

There is like a Christian healthcare network that gets great reviews and is cheaper.

It's basically a worst case scenario plan. Otherwise its worthless now. Bunch of goddamn thieves. There needs to be a special place in hell for any type of insurance people.

Jesus your insurance sucks. My deductible is like $300 and I pay under $70 a month.

In Louisiana, Blue Cross is the only company writing polices for people who have to self insure. There's no competition.

Nope.
Thanks Obama for turning normal health insurance into what use to be considered cheaper high-deductible catastrophic insurance.
It was funny yesterday when Pelosi was talking about transparency I instantly thought of how shady the dems were when they pushed obama-care. Smfh

I’m married and my company won’t let us be on the same plan. So we each pay $65ish a month for the same coverage. $300 deductible, $3k max oop

Is your employer on a small group or aso?
Also, would need to know employer contribution as well. They could just be increasing your share.

Just Google it, I know quite a few people that use it. If you are self employed you damn near have to.
