i've been eating pretty healthy (low carb, esp processed carbs, high protein/veg) the past 4-5 weeks or so (down about 8 lbs without any exercise). the cravings for sugar went away and don't come back.

i treated myself last night (pizza) and had to do a work lunch and at the burger bun. my body is already craving some shitty food. it really is amazing how quickly my body shifts and starts demanding the low hanging fruit.

i'm going to have grilled chicken breast and a plate of veg for dinner tonight and it will be at bay, but on a lazy friday the lure is real

If you're craving something, it's probably because your body is not getting enough of it.

Why not go ahead and mix in some work outs?

our bodies think they need sugar so they signal that we need it early and often in our abundant society

we didn't evolve with this sort of society in mind

it depends on what I'm falling off of really. Shitty food, no exercise, booze, sweets.?

I'll be the first to admit that I had a bad day yesterday. March madness lulled me into eating an entire pizza and drinking a bunch of beer.

That depends on what you are trying to do, but at least mix in some jogging. If you are already eating right you might as well pick up your cardio, too. You'll feel a lot better and it doesn't take much.

Also Jake, you need to hit up that putaforkdown thread on the food board if you want to subtle brag in the disguise of "seeking advice".

I'm on vacation and am not weighing myself until I return. It won't be pretty.

oh this isn't a brag. it's a legitimate thing. eating well for 4-5 weeks means shite

it's like the chris rock joke

quote:

"[A person] will brag about something they're supposed to do. Like, 'I take care of my kids.' You're supposed to you dumb motherf—ker!"

also, indirectly, making this thread will ensure that i actually follow through with not fricking up b/c it's out there in the public

It depends on the person obviously, but for me I'm pretty locked in to what I get at the grocery store at this point. Working out at least 4 times a week is essential though. If you're working out and eating a lot of protein those cravings will go away quicker I promise.

It takes me the better part of a week to do a low calorie diet until I start to go into shock. Probably diabetic shock. Seriously. It's like completely lacking any energy.

i already said they're gone but within 2 meals it's back

when i say "it's back" i acknowledge that it's back and i'm not going to fall back into that behavioral loop

the point is that is powerful shite and pretty fast-acting
