The headlights on my son's truck are pretty faded and yellowish and need a good restoration. Any of you used a decent product for restoring your headlights that you would recommend?

If you just want the yellow back to clear then most of the counter products at the local parts store work well enough.

Biggest ripoff in the automotive world... buy a tube of the cheapest toothpaste you can find. Use that, thank me later.

Thanks. The wife and I have fairly new cars, but the boy and the girl are keeping their cars until the wheels fall off or they can afford a newer car.

Any light cut rubbing compound works great, just finished doing mine.

Wet sand them then seal with a synthetic wax. Do not use toothpaste or OFF as I'm sure people will be posting in this thread. Here is an instructional video on the correct way to do it for long lasting results.

Just use deep woods off and a polishing sponge pad a drill. Looks fantastic. Do it every couple of months.

Or, a light polishing compound using sand polishing sponge on a drill.

Cheap, quick, and repeat every few months.

The 3M headlight restore kit works very well, but you have to make sure you put the clear coat on or you'll be back to square 1 in a month.

Depending on the make and model of the truck it may just be worth it to change them out.
