Halliburton was pure luck. I knew several people who were mud engineers and had a cousin interviewing. So I made some calls to try to hook him up, ended up getting hired too.

Some of the pilots are fricking insane in their abilities to fly those damn things. I’m always taken aback when I see video of some of the crazy things they do down there. I would love to eventually transition into piloting.

I’ve been out there the past 6 months or so as a field engineer. It’s pretty easy out there when everything is going right but a total shite show when it’s not
