Let’s put it this way. “Sleep clinics” weren’t really a thing until health insurers started covering CPAPs as treatment for sleep apnea.

And prepare to be told in the morning that you are lucky you have not yet died in your sleep.

Had one 2 months ago, and just had the second one -- the CPAP titration.

My sleep apnea was classified as mild, but I'm getting a CPAP anyway. The home health company is coming next week.

Honestly, my wife is relieved. She has thought for some time that I am gonna choke to death in my sleep. And it does feel good to have air going through unimpeded.

Me at my sleep study: Doctor, where should I put my pants?

Sleep doctor: Over there by mine is fine.

Ease up on the booze and you won’t need a CPAP

Mildly surprised the bed is a "Sleep number" bed. Never slept on one of those.
ETA: just checked. Not a sleep number bed, it's a Tempur Pedic bed. Should know not to take the nurse's word as truth.

THIS. It is a life changing experience to go from feeling tired all the time, to waking up and feeling great. It lets your heart rest better at too. It’s only good for so many beats before it wears out. Your heart rate will prob be over 100 bpm tonight and < 60 once you’re on a cpac

I bought a battery pack and strapped it to my chest. I get so much more done at work and it really helps at the gym.

My resting HR is ~60-65. But, I only sleep about 6 hours a night on most weekday nights.

I couldn’t sleep worth a crap with all that stuff on. Now they have the technology for you to do it at home. That worked much better for me.

They just put the wires all over my head and body. I feel like I'm caught in a Radio Shack electronic kit gone crazy.

Try having one with long hair. Thankfully I read some stuff ahead of time that said to get the wire goop out, wash with conditioner first, then shampoo in water as hot as you can stand. It took care of it.

I didn’t have enough apnea events to warrant a CPAP. But I had mine done at the hospital clinic after my cardiologist referred me.

If you need a sleep study, you probably don't exercise.

I run marathons. Makes me wonder how bad off I'd be if I just sat around and ate Big Macs every other night
