Ask Mr T….

Yeah, but Mr. T's were gold, so (depending on what metal hey were plated over), they may not have been magnetic.

The thing is, if this place had any kid of oversight at all, they would have known the strength of the field, and would have had controlled access within the 5 Gauss line...if he got in that zone, this place is not well managed and they need to be accountable as well.

Your valve is almost certainly titanium, and not magnetic.

Below a 5-gauss field, you are ok. Above that field there could be issues...and an MRI is well above that in the scan room.

I made sure to make it known I have a couple screws in both my right knee and right ankle holding things together and I've never had a problem.

They should be Titanium and not a problem. If they are magnetic then you got scammed.

I have a screw in my left foot and it isn't a problem. I've had 2 MRIs in the last 12 months.

Almost all, if not all, Modern pacemakers from the last 5 years are MRI compatible, they simply just be switched to a special mode for MRI.

Yep...not sure how many there are right now but in 2017 (which is quite a while back) they estimated that of the 3 million people in the US who had pacemakers, 2 million were not MRI compatible. I would say a large number of those 2 million have either passed, or may have had procedures to replace the unit they had. Still...there are likely quite a few people out there with the MRI Conditional pacemakers.

within the 5 Gauss line

Is that like an event horizon for MRIs?

Not to be confused with the 5 Baws line in the bathrooms at Tiger Stadium.

They are definitely titanium since I've had 3 MRI's performed in the last 2 years. One on my right knee and 2 on my right ankle, both surgically repaired with screws holding crap together.

But I let them know just to be safe.

Did the MRI with a silicone exterior and metal interior butt plug story end up being true?

quote:

“…Valley attorney, has picked up a client who is suing a sex toy company. Said client purchased a butt plug that was advertised as ‘100 percent silicone’. Client wears it to MRI appointment.

Much to the client’s dismay, the plug in fact has a metallic core. Butt plug is accelerated at the speed of sound into client's chest cavity. Described in memo as an "anal rail gun". Client survived with major injuries.”

How long did it take before that description was used in gay porn?

Now you have.

But why wear it outside of the gym including going to medical appointments while wearing it?
