As a competitor? Yes

Placed first in a couple of Martial Arts open tournaments.

Also used to Kart race (dirt track) and took the checkers for several races.

As a Coach? Yes

Coached my kid's travel ball teams to several 1st place finishes.

Not athletically, but I won the pack level Pinewood Derby championship. I came in 4th in regionals. That’s the highlight of my mostly pathetic life.

Elementary school flag football at the recreation department. I was dominant and I’m not exaggerating.

Middle school track. We won district

In highschool I won several wrestling tournaments but never the two big ones. Our team always won parish but never state.

Winning is fricking hard.

Several in different sports; softball (state), bowling (city doubles champion), golf (2 man club champ twice), base champ in football & softball.....might be all.

Two state track titles in HS where I was a non-scoring part of the team.

Won a few at the various levels, funniest was eighth grade baseball, city champs, pitcher threw a no-hitter, I was catching. I stormed the mound after catching the pitch for the final out and slammed the ball into his glove. Our celebration treat was a trip to Pizza Hut after the game. I asked him what he did with the ball. His reply, “what ball?”

ETA: turns out it ended up in the ball bag with all of the shag balls

ETA: looking back at some of these posts reminded me, I had completely forgotten, played football on a team with pretty much the same guys, that didn’t lose a game from 5th to 9th grade. First loss we experienced was as sophomores in high school.

As a player, you don't really understand even a rec ball championship is special.

Had a few people on my team that cried when we won rec flag football championships. Tried to explain to them that winning it just meant we were the best of the shitty teams because the good teams in the city played in other leagues. They didn't want to believe me until I suggested we play a few seasons over there and was knocked out in the 1st rounder 3 seasons in a row (everyone makes playoffs). They joined a new league and forgot to invite me

Couple of summer baseball championships. One team went all the way to the state and won that too.

Won district baseball a couple of times, never sniffed a winning season in football though.
Before that I was on teams that won baseball tournaments and such, big thanks to blowing out my ankle in my high school senior year for derailing that career path.
