All in all, I was pretty lucky. Anybody have similiar experiences?
I doubt most people are dumb enough to almost set their house on fire over a football game.

Years ago came home late, drunk, and hungry. Tossed a frozen pizza in the oven and passed out, woke up two hours later and ate cold pizza. Never turned the oven on.
Plus he said that him and his buddies would go out and pull up peoples bushes in their neighborhood as a prank.

fire is golfing everwhere. The stove was golfing, the cabinets were golfing, everything was golfing with fire. Luckily after I went outside for some air, I grabbed a towel and drenched it with water and then threw it over the stove where the fire was golfing everything.
Drunk posters are the most fun.

That was a very detailed. almost too detailed to be true.
I believe his story. I spent most of my senior year drunk as frick due to something related to the woman who became my ex, lol. I still got straight A's, passed the FE exam, and graduated 2nd of everyone with my engineering degree, all while taking many tests messed up from prior late night.

My dad was a raging alcoholic as in a fifth of Taaka a day. He passed out one night while frying eggs, until the New Iberia Fire Department kicked in his door. Dumbass didn't realize what was going on and pulled his pistol on the "intruders".
Fast forward about 18 years. I, too, have a hankering for some fried eggs when I've been drinking. I passed out one night after I started the eggs....thank god I had to spew. I jumped up to run to the bathroom and noticed the fire on the stove on the way. Spewed in the sink, put the fire out and crashed.
It always warms my heart to see family traditions passed down.

When I was at LSU a guy I know did the same thing. The Teflon or whatever the pan was made of put out some kind of fumes or gas that killed his pet macaw. It was sad. Dude woke up hung over as shite in a smoky stinking apartment and his macaw dead in its cage.

Wasn't drunk, but I was 16 or so and I was cooking some good ole ramen and passed out in the afternoon. Woke up to smoke, no fire. Burnt the hell out of my mother's expensive arse pot. Panicked and threw it in the canal behind my house.
Once she figured out it was missing, and put two and two together, my arse was burned more than that damn pot.
