Have you ever had to reprimand another adult in public?

I was unfortunately at a funeral earlier today and, at the reception afterwards, a griever made an off hand comment about the deceased within the earshot of numerous family members. I thought this was poor form and, though I had never met the man who made the comment nor was I a member of the family of the deceased, I decided to take action and call him out. Needless to say, things got a bit heated afterwards and we were both asked to leave, but I think that this was a situation where I asserted myself correctly and stood for my convictions. Has anyone else ever had to reprimand another in such a manner at a public event such as that?

ETA: I meant reprimand. Embarrassing moment for the misuse of apprehend as I am an English teacher after all.

If you got kicked out of a funeral you were not in the right. Especially if it wasn’t for getting too drunk and knocking over the casket.

And no I’m not Batman I mind my own business.

No I do. I told him that if he were to ever make a comment like that again, there would be a consequence involved.

You made such a scene at a funeral you were asked to leave?

Thank god you called that one guy out though, clearly worth it

Your use of apprehend makes no sense. JS.

I have certainly have called people out for such shite...however, I do it very discreetly and would never have let anyone know it had even happened. Basically, you making a scene was just as disrespectful as the original comment was.

I don't think "apprehend" means what you think it means.

I thought maybe he meant admonish but after reading the trashy I almost got into a fight and kicked out of a funeral of someone I’m not even related to I knew he just didn’t know better
