Well… sure- in a perfect world. I have kids. I’m going home today.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but yeah, if someone attacks your kids, you beat them to a bloody pulp. This thread was about a fight between two men, essentially. My comment was really in regard to a bunch of the videos you see that aren't actually fights, and just a bunch of animals ganging up and jumping a single individual. Then they continue to beat on them once the victim is down. Anyone and everyone involved in those attacks should face an immediate firing squad.

I'm considerably stronger now than I was at 18 or 19. Call it age, anger, a heavy dose of IDGAF.

It would have to end quickly though…definitely don’t have the stamina I had

That's the problem. The baw was 230lbs and used to run the lakes while burning menthol cowboy killers.

If it didn't end within 20-30 seconds, I'm getting hurt.

I came really close at the HEB the other night.

I was loading my groceries in my trunk and my basket started rolling away from me toward the car next to me. I went to grab it before it hit, but the owner of the car magically materialized out of the ether and grabbed it first.

He just stared at me with these vietnam-scarred eyes, as if I just murdered his puppy. Thought for sure old man was about to throw hands.

Luckily I was able to laugh my way out of it as I slowly backed away.

I still see his face sometimes when I close my eyes. He haunts my dreams.

Old dude here. Fighting hurts. It's a young man's game. It's not the only game.

Once saw an old boy in his 70s put down his Old Milwaukee, pop his dentures out and set them on the bar, turn and level a good size guy in his 20s one afternoon.

Later some of the other old guys said he was a known bad arse back in the day. Nice guy until you piss him off. Taller dude but not thick. Had some big hands though.

No idea what the other guy did but he wasn't having it.

Truth being spoken in the OP's message. When your young and stupid you think you can do anything even take on an Old man . That old man has wisdom, maybe countless fights and lastly that old Man "Strength". You learn this when you become that old man. Clint Eastwood's famous line still stands"Go ahead punk make my day."

Is this Shakespeare?

No, it's "Carl". A very good friend of mine who is doing life plus 80 years.

He is the type man this thread is about. He is 63 years old and maybe 1 out of 100 here might be able to hang with him in a fight.

Yeah, I was a 190 pound 16 year old linebacker that knew everything. I fought my father for about 30 seconds once.. Once.

This. I got froggy with my pops at the exact same age and size (was around 6'0 at the time). Dad was about 5'8 230. Didn't take me long to realize the mistake I made. Never again.

Old men....

1. have strong hands and wrists.
2. have experienced pain throughout their lives
3. don't get embarrassed or thrown off their game after getting hit.
4. Just don't give a f***.

Exhibit A as to why this is a bad idea. I can't believe it hasn't been posted yet. Anyway, Ellick Mardi Gras... LINK

I couldn't find the original, BTW. I know the music sucks.

Let me guess- you’re hands are “registered deadly weapons.”

What if it’s another kid attacking your kid? Just asking, haven’t been in that situation but think I’d let it play out whether he won or lost

I don’t know about this.

An old bad arse is def more dangerous than a young dude that thinks he’s a badass.
