Yes. I sat down for lunch at a popular restaurant here called Babalu's. My waitress had bruises around her neck like she had been choked and her fingernails were black underneath with dirt. She looked and smelled like she hadn't bathed in months. I just had to leave.

Seriously?

I've never been there. But I heard it was good.

You'd think a manager would step in and tell them to go home and clean their nasty arse.

I just leave when I hear the Ebonics seeping through the speaker.
It's usually after I say huh? What did you say? Speak English the 2nd time.

Yes. Quiznos once. The guy obviously was working sick. Had a cold or something. Sniffles and looked generally ill. Handling lettuce and cold cuts? Nope.

Also, a Taco Bell. I saw (along with woman in front of me) a guy scratching his arse. I mean SCRATCHING. Hand under waist band scratching. Place cleared out. All to the sound of his little Asian manager bitching at him.

Didn't happen to me but to a former co-worker and her husband while eating at the Subway in Jackson, La.

They had sat down and were eating their $5 footloose when their 300+ lbs Sandwich Artist pulled down the waistband of her pants and started scratching an itch with the knife she used to cut the bread, meat, etc. Husband shouted "that's frickin' NASTY!!" grabbed his wife and walked out. My Co-worker didn't see what went down but looked over to the worker to see her smirk and put the knife back down on the cutting surface. The disgusting beast didn't even make the effort to put the knife in the sink to clean it.

The Popeyes in Walker was staffed by mutants last time I was in there. I turned and walked out.

It was my first time, too. I never went back.

I've never had an employee scare me off, but I've pulled in and seen fat people walking out and thought to myself I should probably go get a salad somewhere else.
