Think about it.

A poor kid on his 18 math birthday buys $4k worth of rifles and optics plus ammo and in 24 hrs become proficient enough to engage three cops before evading them to the school where he engaged another security guard before holding up in a classroom where he killed 15 kids and two teachers. And then the cops surrounded the school and didn’t do shite for an hour until an off duty border patrol officer mounted up with his barber to take this guy out.

None of this adds up.

Scenario A) Kid with mental health issues, who like a lot troubled males fetishizes death and machismo, saves up for 2 years at Wendy’s to buy some guns, snaps one day, goes on a rampage, and holds his own as the round, tubby arm of the law cowers until the Feds show up and put him down.

Scenario B) The Syndicate armed, trained, and provoked said male in grand conspiracy to bring down society.

I thought the same thing - I mean buying that much ammunition didn’t raise any flags?

Read he worked at Wendy’s to save up for them
Seems like he would have had to save awhile on 30 hours a week of fast food pay

What bills did this 18 year old have? A few years of summer work, birthday money and no regard for a long term future and it’s not like it’s crazy to stash a few bucks. Especially if not fully supporting himself for years - ie a kid just getting into the real world.

Pretty sure that did not happen.

How much ammo did he buy? I purchased about 600 rounds a while back for target shooting. I don't think anyone batted an eye.

You can buy 1,000 round ammo boxes. I buy 200-300 rounds at a time, buying in bulk saves. Its not unusual for guys to use 300 rounds on one trip to an outdoor range.

375 rounds? I buy at least that many every few weeks just to shoot at the range.

Don’t know why you are downvoted. Houston Chronicle said he used a debit card too.

Why does it matter that he used a debit card? He had been employed for at least a year. Most employed people have debit cards.

He also spent the entire year he was employed posting wish lists of guns he planned on buying which he then purchased the day after he turned 18. Seems likely that he was saving up for those guns, especially considering he didn't have rent or a car note.

All true. I have coworkers who are helping people try to buy their first homes, and almost all of the low income clients have the latest phones and high cost phone plans, highest priced cable packages, and maxed out CC debt.

I would also like to know. If they show receipts and the finances to me, I might believe it. Otherwise, this smells. Too many things had to fall in place for the story I’m being told to be a true story.

Is it really that hard to understand? Do you think that only people with money have ARs? He spent all of his money on weapons, therefore he is poor. It’s not like he had to empty a swollen 401K to buy some guns

It would be considered a relatively small amount of ammo by the average firearms enthusiast.

It is odd that anyone thinks this is far-fetched. When I was in high school in the mid-80s my passion was building engines and drag racing. Because I had no obligations and saved my money my drivetrain in my car cost more than most of the 20-30 somethings I raced against. The parts in my engine alone cost a lot more than the shooters "killing kit" not even adjusted for inflation.

Someone with no financial obligations and a one-track mind can save a lot of their income. It isn't like his weapons were Barrett M107s with Hensoldt optics.
