I bought my butler one of those Midnight Express Pied-a-mers. He's really enjoyed it.

Stupid bow riders.

The SeeVees, NorTechs, HCBs, and Midnight Express's always come out for the win. Then you have the 17' Boston Whaler that plows through with no problem.

I'm bringing the flat boat there and giving it a go.

ETA: I should've clicked on the link in OP, because that's the one I referenced below.
I saw a wavy boats video a few weeks ago of a few guys rolling out of haulover in a 39 cigarette and they hit some massive waves just outside. Then there was a caption at the bottom that said one of the guys on the cigarette fractured his back and the other shredded his ankle or something along those lines. It looked bad and as he was hitting the waves, I was waiting for the boat to completely break apart.

I like Wavy Boats channel on youtube because there's no commentary, just the video.

Yes. The 17' BWs seem the have the perfect length to navigate between the waves.
But that pontoon boat.

Can't imagine having the money to buy some of these boats and not know how to drive one.
You steer, pilot, operate, navigate, etc.
The applicable old saw amongst professional mariners is "Just because you can afford to buy it doesn't mean you can run it.'

Despite the commentary from the YouTube poster this captain handled Haulover the right way with the crew he had on board.

I’ve been in and out of it many times, fishing tournaments. It can get sketchy with a good amount of tide, and wind in the going in the opposite direction. I think 70% of the kooks you see in those vids should not be behind the wheel, and the other 30% just made a mistake in judging the tide/ swell.

Watching some of those videos gives me anxiety.
The stupidity of some of those idiots is mindblowing as well.
But man, those Midnight Expresses just slice through those waves like butter. Pretty awesome to watch.

I swear, I just discovered this YT channel like two weeks ago and I've been obsessed since. There are some amazing boats. I'd never be able to afford half of them, but it's still fun to watch.
You can tell the guys who are experienced navigating haulover
. There's one where a guy is in a big NorTec and just comes flying through with one arm in the air like Hacksaw Jim Dugan and setting massive air the whole time
. It's so freaking awesome.

Found that rabbit hole some time ago. Amazed at the idiocy of really rich boat owners. And the dumbasses that go out with them.

Never been, but I do subscribe. It is shocking how stupid people are, for sure. To not be secure or have everything secured is one thing, and to not understand what you are getting into is another. I can't believe people aren't dying all the time. I have seen people on jet skis saving people quite often... some that the idiots on the boat don't even know have gone overboard.

Just saw in one of the videos 2 KAYAKERS in there. Granted one had already fallen off and had to be rescued, but the other made it through before having to be rescued. Surely their intent want to go through there but they had to be close enough.
