Seems like there's always a new fundraiser every month.

Good evening sir. Would you like to buy some chocolate bars? I'm trying to go to state convention.

They are annoying. I’d rather just give the school money than feel obligated to sell candy to my coworkers on behalf of a kid.

It wouldn't be so bad if they we're selling beef jerky, but no it's got to be fat arse candy bars and cookies.

I have a better idea, how about the parents who own the kids pay to support their kids education, sport, dance, etc.

Every sport and squad wants to take a national trip or compete in a competition. I have well over a hundred students, and most of them hit me up for something. I have to say no, or I'd go broke trying to support them. I'm not exactly an OT baller on a public school teacher salary.

The amount of kids that come in our business asking for sponsorships is out of control also. I’m not talking just sports either, it’s any kind of club you can think of. That and ad space in yearbooks.

When I was a kid we sold real candy. M&M's. Peanut or plain, $1 for a huge box. None of this World's Finest Chocolate garbage.

One of the many reasons we pulled out kids out of Catlick School. Every damn month it seemed like they were sending some stuff home with the kids to sell. Popcorn, candy, more candy, cookies, gift wrap, christmas presents, Cookie dough, etc.

The public school has one candy drive a year. They do other stuff like jean days, valentine's day candy sales, etc. I don't mind sending the kids with a buck to wear jeans, etc.

The private/Catlick schools in Houston had a system. Each year, they charged you an extra fee. If you fundraised enough, you did not have to pay the fee. If you fell short on fundraising, you would have to pay difference. But, you could tell them at the start of the year you ain't selling anything and just pay the fee and be done with it.

Boosterthon. Coming your way soon. Professionals show up to put on pep rally's to get your kids pumped to raise copious amounts of money for trinket prizes.
