Your title is wrong. Nicholson isn't closing, only Brightside:

That Intersection is the only part where traffic backs up when I take that route. It’ll be great if they’re adding a left turn lane. ETA frick. Just read the post above this. They’re only fixing Brightside?

No. It hasn’t been discussed bc the closure is Brightside at Nicholson, not Nicholson at Brightside. Yuge difference.

Maybe someone can locate some more project info but they are definitely improving Nicholson. They appear to be adding a much needed turning lane there. I don’t drive it often so I’m not 100% certain.

I’m pretty sure they are only closing it at the railroad. You will still be able to use Nicholson and Lee.

That’s the only way to complete the project. It gonna be a pain but it’s for about a month and for a improved intersection

Nicholson Drive (Hwy. 30) is being 4 laned from campus to the EBR Parish line under the new MOVEEBR road program. Not sure when and I believe it is in three sections. But it will be done.
