Reminds me of a 2014 Tundra.

specially since gas mileage on a yota truck is generally the worst of its class.

This holds true for the Tacoma and Tundra models.

The newer redesigned Titan isn't any better from what I have read.

No. I still don't understand how they are still in business.

How does a similarly equipped RAM compare price wise (and incentives) vs. a similarly equipped F-150 Lariat model?

As you can tell, I have done zero research other than look at a few pictures.

I currently drive a F150 because I wanted to try a different brand. Here was my experience with Dodge/RAM trucks:

1997 Dodge Dakota - drove for 125k - nothing but routine maintenance

2003 Dodge Ram - put about 100k on it. The only problem I had was a transmission leak that was discovered when it was having some other routine maintenance performed. It was fixed under warranty so it cost me $0 and never had another problem with the truck.

2009 Ram - put 135k on it. Sold it last October. Had to replace O2 sensor. nothing else but routine maintenance

I heard good reports when I was shopping for a new vehicle recently, similar to when I bought my first dodge, but after being scorched by that Dodge truck that just simply fell apart and bled out of every orifice, they’re not tricking me back into giving them another shot. I went Toyota. Good looking truck, but I’m not sold.

You can make good looking vehicles, reliable vehicles, or both, but you're in trouble if you miss on both.

Dodge vehicles look solid in their class.

I downsized and went from a F150 to a Tacoma. I have all the bells and whistles that I wanted in the Tacoma -- and it is a solid and reliable truck. However, I absolutely miss the extra space that I had grown accustomed to.

Yeah I went from a tundra crew Max to a Rav 4 to save on gas since I drive 200ish miles a day. I miss the space so much.

I think they are quality vehicles, however I had the option of a Dodge Journey (looked like a odd mini-van), Ford Escape ($2500 out of my pocket) or the Jeep Compass- I chose the Jeep. Not much to choose from as far as suv in a set price range.

Dodge issues recall for 1.8M Ram trucks

Brian Tynes

Dec 22, 2017 04:03 PM

(RNN) - Nearly 1.8 million Dodge Ram trucks are being recalled due to a shifting problem.

The issue rises from an electrical overheating problem, and could cause the trucks to roll away on their own while in park, the company announced.

The recall covers Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from 2010 through 2017, chassis cab Ram 2500, 3500 and 4500 models from 2001 to 2017 and some Ram 1500 models from 2009 to 2017.

Trucks manufactured in 2017, even though they may be of the model year, are not part of the recall.

Fiat-Chrysler, Dodge's parent company, said it is aware of seven injuries and a few crashes that are a result of the problem.

A fix is being prepared and anyone who owns one of the affected vehicles is asked to used their parking brake at all times until the problem can be repaired.

Owners of the vehicles will be notified by Chrysler-Fiat.

A previous recall was issued for an unrelated problem in September over a fire hazard.

I assumed it is branded as RAM with Dodge (Chrysler) making them.

But I honestly have no clue. I could be absolutely wrong. I'm sure someone here knows and can clarify.

I had an F-150. I regret selling it. I normally don't get attached to vehicles, but I actually miss that truck. The leg room in the back seat area is incredible. My kids really liked having that extra space.

I have a 10 yr old and that's one of the reasons I got the F150. It just seemed roomier than the Silverado. My 09 Ram was comfortable as well.
