A bigger threat-- no. As large a threat? Maybe.
The problem with bioweapons is control; if you have a super effective one, you aren't likely to be able to protect yourself from the blowback, so the threshold for use is higher.

COVID-19 is most likely a bio weapon and should be treated as such.

This is small time thinking. Terrorist organizations or rogue entities or individuals would not consider blowback to be an issue. Obviously. Just look at our endless asymmetrical war with jihadists as one example. Think such an organization would even hesitate for a second to release a bio-weapon?

Yeah, I also believe it to be engineered. The only question is purposeful or accidental release. And either way, China deserves serious sanction for fricking us all over and then lying about it.

Not engineered =/= not deliberately released. Or it could be that one of their little research projects got away from them by accident. Am I just to accept without question that it is a coincidence that of all the places in China for this to start it just happened to start where China has its bio research facility centered on coronaviruses?
The truth is that none of us know how this got started. And I doubt we'll ever be told the truth. Too many China apologists.
