The younger gen is afraid to say they're conservative to an extent.
Hell im late 30s and know 2 or 3 wives of friends who in a group setting would claim they voted Dem, but didnt.

Cut her loose.
The tipoff should have been selecting a grad school in Boston. Is she a lesbian dance therapy major?

I don’t think most girls have real political opinions. They kind of just model them after whatever guy they are into. I have seen so many girls swing from laughing at racist jokes to freaking out when somebody calls their friend a fig and vice versa. Always makes me laugh.
At the end of the day I couldn’t care less. I care more about who she has slept with than who she is voting for. Now if I think she will inflect my future kids with some weird values I’m out but most “moderate” liberals could easily become conservatives and vice versa.
The best girl I ever knew was a girl whose parents are conservative and she sort of was but not overly so at least politically. If she was annoying about trump or whatever I don’t think I would have been so into here (for what it’s worth I don’t hate trump or anything)

This is true but she would have to go to the bedroom to watch CNN with the cat because anyone that has politics on tv all day is insane.
I agree. I change the channel when I go over there.

If she is really okay with killing the one thing they are supposed to love and protect, their children, what lengths would she go to when you become the inconvenience?

Buy a MAGA hat and start wearing it. Her reaction will tell you everything needed to know

I did it for 2 years. Smartest girl I've ever met, probably smartest I'll ever meet (save for the socialist stuff). It didn't end bc of the political stuff fwiw, she was great - I had/have some personal issues that I'm working on. Discussions were usually good, outside of 3 or 4 that really pissed me off
It will get interesting if you have kids. Either A) she will get a wakeup call and realize that family reigns supreme and her values will shift to whats best for the family or B) she wont change and then yall will be battling on the parenting/value front
From what I've seen, it seems like most of these cases end up with A. Would suck arse to end up with B though. You taking that risk?
I couldn't have this though. I'm all for differing views and debate and discourse, but I can't get behind "activists" and rally/protest people for either side. People who are super into politics are lame af
You aint changing anything, go back to work. Make as much money as possible so that your family is minimally impacted by whatever stupid policy bullshite gets enacted.

Now I see she's starting to attend Boston "Party for Socialism and Liberation" events and "Boston Socialist Alternative"

This thread and replies are an indictment on modern society. As long as you aren’t polar opposites politically and care about each other, you will be able to respect each other’s opinions enough to make it work just fine.
Not every liberal is a caricature of a communist/socialist. In fact, most are not.

I would -never- be able to.
I feel really fortunate that my wife's views evolved tremendously after we married, but she was always on this side of things. My first "love" g/f from highschool was wildly liberal, and i'm grateful af that we didn't end up marrying. We almost dated again in college..... #shivers
Modern* prog-liberals do not live in the same world as sane people.

Do you think she would tolerate you attending a rally in support of fascist government or ending western liberal democracy? Because that's how far she is on the other end of the horseshoe.

Seeing them in support of Hamas and killing Jews, id say you have been asleep. Again, this isn't the Bill Clinton Democrats anymore.

They support that shite because their cult bashes the frick out of any dissent.
Liberalism is dead, killed by Progressivism.

Get out now. You don't want someone like that raising your kids.

She will have the greatest impact of any other human on your kids.
Do you really want to give a liberal that position??????

Well I’m liberal and no one in my circle of friends (mix of democrats and republicans) support Hamas. I believe the vast majority believe that Israel should handle business to protect their country. Media is amplifying the celebrations that is a fringe, super minority viewpoint and casting it as all liberals. Just isn’t reflective of reality.
