I have an uncle who is 100% MAGA. He tells me that he goes to his sons house and talks to his 7 year old grandson. His grandson starts to tell him about a friend he has in school. First mentions the friend as a him then as a she. My uncle became livid when it’s said to him that the parents want his child to be open to other people’s feelings. That’s what happens when liberal people start raising children. Run while you can. It goes downhill from here.

There’s no future there, I mean if you want kids, just cut it off, now. If no kids and you just want to deal with that kind of ideology, it’s your choice, but just sounds like a future disaster. To me though, nothing more sexy than a conservative bad arse woman, but that could be just me…

It will likely be rough. I wish I had asked many more questions about things that matter in your 30s and 40s. Not that I would have made a different decision but would at least have known what to expect.

Have you considered asking her why she's become more politically minded? Why she's becoming more politically extreme?
I have a friend who has a very liberal wife. They don't talk about politics. They have ~90% shared values -- hard work, importance of education for their children, do onto others as you'd have done onto you, etc -- and they just don't talk about politics.
BTW, "mixed marriages" used to be fairly common. Keep that in mind.
