Not a long distance guy. Clubs:

58* - Sand/chips
54* - 90
Gap - 110
PW - 125
9 - 140
8 - 158
7 - 175
6 - 185
5 - 200
3i - 215
5w - 225
3w - 240
D - 275

Wedges are callaway forged
Irons are callaway apex cf16 with KBS Tour 120 Stiff
3i is a TM with stock Fujikara stiff
5w is TM stock Fuji stiff 75
3w is TM stock Fuji stiff 85
D is epic sz 9* with Aldila Rogue x-stiff 70

Trying to find the right feel for the putter. Splitting time between the Bettinardi BB1 and the TM Spider Tour Silver.

They get it from amateurs that step up for trackman or GC2 type testing....usually at facilities like Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway, etc.

They let the amateurs in for fittings, etc. and collect club distance data.

Trackman does not lie - it is a real eye opener when it comes to spin, carry, total distance, etc.

heck, my driver carry is down to 260 now....but I make sure to have a setup to minimize spin so I get roll.

Where does that weak stat even come from? I've never had a golf statistician follow me and measure my drives.

Those are respectable and I bet not far from the truth. I'd like to see that 200 5-iron though. Is that to the green?

You calling nitro a lie and 275 respectable? You walk a fine line, troll.

The gap wedge is my favorite club. I hit it anywhere from 85 to 110. Those are max yardages. From 55-80, I use the 54, Under that 58 depending on the lie and amount of green to work with.

Its not the answer you asked for but my unforgettable shot happened at a tourney where an ace wins a new Silverado. I flushed my 6 from 170 and landed atop the mound perfectly. The ball trickled down and just missed the cup, stopped two inches from the cup on the downhill side. I may have shite myself if i hadnt stopped the beer cart every time i saw her nearby.

I flight it pretty high and can get it to 200 in the summer fine. Do you know #13 at greystone? With the green multitiered and sloping away? When they have the tees back, that's a 195-200 yard shot. It's with the 5 iron. Same with my second shot on 14, the par 5. Now, If I'm on 9 and cannot miss short, I go with the 5W if I go for the green in 2. That's usually a 205-210 to the flag but a 190 carry. But I'm hitting a draw usually and don't want to hook, so it's a very controlled swing with the 5w.

ETA: And I know it won't mean shite to you, but Net actually saw me hit a 5 iron 205 6 feet past the hole at SM #5. He followed that up by knocking it just as close. And that was when I was an absolute shitty golfer.

Don't get me wrong, those numbers sound reasonable. I don't doubt all golfers, just the weekend golfers that talk about 320 drives and 270 4-irons.

Golf is a great sport because it involves the brain, physicality, temperament and above all, honesty. It is the only sport that requires that you penalize yourself for infractions.

Net and I haven't had a chance to play much recently, but these numbers aren't necessary out of his reach, fwiw.

Then I'd say he is an above average golfer, if he is able to score well.

See, I always said "average armature" golfer lies about their ability. I don't know why he got so defensive.

Maybe the 3 of us should play, then you can ref the post-golf sonic event.
