Threeputt did the research.
Id only believe that if it came from a poster handle of Oneputt or Twoputt.

The average drive of an armature golfer is ~220 yards.

The average golfer boasts about driving a ball 385 million yards.

That is how it is, there is no honesty in the most honest sport.

Prove me wrong. But first understand what counts as a drive. You can't go hit a ball on a tarmac. To count as a measurable drive it must end up in the fairway; not 6 yds OB. Make sense now?

Nope. Can't say I have. I Know I score well but also know what my actual average driving distance is. I bet it is not far off from what yours is... and I'm not bragging.

Where does that weak stat even come from? I've never had a golf statistician follow me and measure my drives.

Back in the day, when I was young and had nitro I gave it the ole steroid jerk. I played Bang Golf products - I carried two drivers - my long driver was a Big Big Bang 475 with a Harrison shaft.

That was 15 years ago - I started playing again a couple of years ago - nerd golf now cause my nitro is gone.

I have started gym work to regain my boom ability.

Sure, ok. People see what pro golfers do on TV and think, yeah..I can do that too. No honesty among the new generations.

Read this and I bet you are one of the commenters claiming superiority.

LINK

If you can hit a 4 iron 270 yrs with precision, then you are way abouve an average golfer. You could play every course in EBR without a driver.

I hit my 5 iron 230 and 225 the other day and promoted it to the slot right next to my driver as a reward.
