Has anyone here lived (or had a kid live) in the Business Residential College at LSU?

My youngest son will be there in the fall.

How is the study environment? How are the girls?

From their site
quote:

As part of the E. J. Ourso College’s “Finish in Four” effort, residents of the Business Residential College receive special assistance to ensure that they complete their bachelor’s degrees in four years.

What non-disabled kids need special assistance to graduate in business in 4 years? I'm accounting and pre-med at LSU and will be getting my degree in 4 years with most of my med school pre-requisites...it's not hard to graduate in 4 years lol.

Edit: let me be clear. It is not hard to graduate in 4 years for business. If you are doing engineering or something like that, I absolutely see where it would take longer.

This is his last fling. He'll have the rest of his life to be a career driven tool. Let him live it up like a normal college student.

I'd recommend all freshman business majors live there if they're going to do a dorm. It will help him a lot immediately and later on in college when classes get a little harder and require more collaboration.

I lived there my freshman year... it’s one of the best dorms on campus... Your son will possibly be more inclined to study. However, the girls suck because all of them live in Miller hall

Why would you want to finish college so quickly, let alone ever? 6.5 years is a much better number

I lived there and very much enjoyed it. It was only 1 year old when I moved in (2009) and was the nicest dorm on campus. We all had classes together which was very convenient for both making friends and studying together (which I should have done more of). There are alternating floors of guys and girls and we had a few pretty cute ones living there with us. Overall I would highly recommend the BRC over the other options on campus.

But where's the fun in that?

If you aren't at least getting a fifth football season in, you're doing it wrong

This makes sense for all except Blake. It's actually really nice, right on one of the lakes, and right by the 459. And they just renovated it to be really nice when I was a freshman 5 years ago (god that was hard to type out and will only get harder). Seems like yesterday I was walking into Blake during my first day on campus for orientation.

ETA: RIP McVoy and Miller. So many memories from freshman year in both. My freshman dorm and my freshman girlfriends dorm. Damn. I will definitely pour one out at the next football game before they go down.
